About Skemergrond
Skemergrond is a South African, Afrikaans-language telenovela set in Gemoedsdrif, a small town in the Western Cape, which revolves around the Louw family and their beautiful flower farm.
The Louws’ peaceful existence is disrupted when unexpected guests arrive, and long-lost family members threaten to uncover heavily-guarded family secrets.
The head writer is Jo-Ann Scholtz, with a writing team including Johann Davis, Alyzzander Fourie, Margaret Goldsmid, Meesha Aboo, Kanya Viljoen, Lauren Scholtz, Henry Cloete and Tristam Atkins. The directors are Roxanne Blaise and Marisa Drummond.
